Ernesto Roca Barbadillo Airport (GYA)

Ernesto Roca Barbadillo Airport is the public airport serving Guayaramerín, a town in Bolivia's northeastern Beni Department, on the Mamoré River opposite the Brazilian city of Guajará-Mirim. It is the main air gateway for this border region and handles domestic scheduled services, primarily EcoJet flights to Trinidad with onward connections to other Bolivian cities.

Located about 5 km south of central Guayaramerín, the airport replaced the older Capitán de Av. Emilio Beltrán airfield near the river. A new passenger terminal and control tower opened in 2022, and the site has an asphalt runway of approximately 1,800 m. The airport has also been enabled as a customs control point for some cross-border operations.

Passengers can reach the city centre by taxi or private transfer; the short road journey typically takes only a few minutes. The compact single-terminal layout keeps check-in, security and arrivals close together, which makes domestic travel relatively straightforward.

For visitors, the airport provides convenient access to Guayaramerín's border crossing with Brazil and to other destinations in the Beni region. Facilities remain modest, so travelers are advised to arrive early and confirm flight details with their airline.
