Teniente Coronel Rafael Pabón Airport is a public airport serving Villamontes, the main urban centre of the Gran Chaco Province in Bolivia's Tarija Department. It is named in honour of Rafael Pabón, a Bolivian military pilot who fought in the Chaco War against Paraguay.
The airport is located about 4 km east of Villamontes city centre, close to the Pilcomayo River basin. It has a single asphalt runway (18/36) measuring approximately 1,499 metres, with an elevation of about 398 metres above sea level.
Today the airport does not receive regular scheduled commercial flights. It operates mainly during daylight hours, and its infrastructure hosts the Grupo Aéreo 63 of the Bolivian Air Force, with activity focused on military training and general aviation.
