Gorna Oryahovitsa Airport is a regional civil airport in north-central Bulgaria, serving the town of Gorna Oryahovitsa and the nearby city of Veliko Tarnovo. Established in 1925, it was originally used mainly by the Bulgarian Air Force before developing into a civil airport; a new terminal and administration building was completed in 1978, and an air traffic management building followed in 1994.
Located about 4 km northeast of Gorna Oryahovitsa and roughly 12 km from Veliko Tarnovo, the airport provides access to one of Bulgaria's most important historical and cultural regions. It mainly handles general aviation, cargo and occasional charter flights, and it is equipped to receive international traffic with its own customs facilities.
