Foshan Shadi Airport is a dual-use military and public airport serving Foshan, a major manufacturing city in Guangdong Province. It functions as a compact domestic gateway for the Foshan area and the wider Pearl River Delta, with scheduled services operated mainly by China United Airlines.
The airport traces its origins to 1954 and has been used for civil aviation since 1985. In December 2024, a new modular terminal opened, replacing the airport's earlier passenger facilities with a modern building covering about 11,395 square metres and designed to handle up to 2.6 million passengers per year.
Located in Nanhai District, the airport sits roughly 7.5 km from central Foshan and about 21 km from central Guangzhou. Foshan Metro Line 3 connects the terminal at nearby Xiaode East station, while a bus hub and taxi services provide additional links to Foshan West Railway Station, Foshan Railway Station, the Zumiao commercial area and surrounding districts.
With a single runway, a compact terminal layout, ID-only check-in and electronic boarding passes, the airport offers a convenient domestic travel experience for passengers using Foshan and nearby parts of the Pearl River Delta.
