Dandong Langtou International Airport is the main airport serving Dandong, a border city in southeastern Liaoning that faces the Yalu River and Sinuiju in North Korea. The airport began civil operations in 1985 and was later rebuilt into a modern regional facility.
Located in Langtou Town, Zhenxing District, about 14 km from central Dandong, the airport mainly handles domestic services alongside international infrastructure. A new terminal opened in April 2014 with a floor area of around 20,000 square metres and expanded capacity.
The airport is connected to the city by airport shuttle buses, intercity bus routes, taxis, private transfers and road links, making it relatively easy to reach the city centre, Dandong Railway Station and nearby areas.
