Chengdu Tianfu International Airport is the main international airport serving Chengdu and the wider Sichuan region. Opened in June 2021, it became the primary hub for most international and long-haul flights serving the city, complementing the older Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport.
Located about 50 km southeast of central Chengdu, the airport handles domestic and international travel through two passenger terminals.
