Chengdu Huaizhou Airport (HZU)

Chengdu Huaizhou Airport is a general aviation airport serving Jintang County and the Huaizhou New City area on the eastern side of Chengdu, Sichuan. It officially entered operation on 11 June 2021 as an A1-class general aviation airport and forms part of the wider Chengdu air transport system alongside the city's larger international airports.

The airport is built around a 1,200-metre main runway with a flight area grade of 2B, together with an 800-metre low-altitude tourism runway, taxiways and an apron providing 24 aircraft parking positions. A 2,000-square-metre air traffic control complex building houses passenger areas and flight operations facilities.

Located about 44 kilometres from central Chengdu and roughly 22 kilometres from the Jintang County seat, the airport is reached primarily by road. Private transfers, taxis, chauffeur services and rental cars are the main options for continuing to Jintang, Huaizhou New City and Chengdu itself.

The airport supports business and private flying, flight training, low-altitude tourism, aviation logistics, aircraft testing and emergency response, and has also been approved for short-haul routes to other airports in Sichuan. Its facilities make it a practical gateway for general aviation travel and leisure flights in the Chengdu region.
