Barisal Airport is the main domestic airport serving Barisal city and the wider Barisal Division in southern Bangladesh. It opened for commercial flights in July 1995 and now handles scheduled passenger services, primarily on the route between Dhaka and Barisal.
The airport is located roughly 12 km from central Barisal and operates through a single passenger terminal building. Its runway is about 1,829 metres long, making it suitable for the domestic aircraft that connect the city with the capital and surrounding districts.
