Aristides Pereira International Airport (BVC)

Aristides Pereira International Airport is the main airport serving the island of Boa Vista in Cape Verde. Located near the village of Rabil, about 5 km southeast of the main town of Sal Rei, it functions as the island's primary gateway for domestic connections and international visitors.

Opened to international traffic in 2007 and renamed in 2011 after Cape Verde's first president, the airport operates a single compact passenger terminal that handles arrivals and departures for both domestic and international flights. Charter carriers, particularly TUI and its European operations, account for much of the passenger traffic, while TAP Air Portugal links Boa Vista with Lisbon and CVsky provides inter-island connections.

The airport is reached by a short road journey from Sal Rei, with taxis typically taking around 10 to 15 minutes. Many resorts and hotels organise shuttle transfers for guests, and car rental desks are available at the terminal for travellers who want to explore the island independently. There is no rail link on Boa Vista.

Inside, passengers find a café, a restaurant and bar in the international boarding lounge, a duty-free and souvenir shop, ATMs, currency exchange, Wi-Fi and accessibility services. From the airport, visitors can continue to Sal Rei, beach areas such as Santa Monica, and inland attractions including the Viana Desert dunes.
