About Preguiça Airport
Preguiça Airport is a domestic aerodrome serving São Nicolau island in Cape Verde. Located about 3 km south of the island capital Ribeira Brava, it connects the island with other Cape Verde destinations such as Sal and São Vicente and is operated by Cabo Verde Airports under a VINCI Airports concession.
The airport has a runway of roughly 1,400 metres with orientation 01/19. A new single-storey terminal building opened in 2013, replacing the older terminal and providing departure and arrivals areas, check-in counters and a single boarding gate for domestic inter-island flights.
Transport to Ribeira Brava and other parts of the island is available by taxi and shared aluguer minibuses, with private transfers also available. The airport is reached by road from Ribeira Brava and the surrounding area.
Facilities remain modest, with basic seating and a small café, and the airport serves as a practical entry point for visitors exploring São Nicolau's landscapes and nearby towns.
