About Ankang Fuqiang Airport
Ankang Fuqiang Airport is the main airport serving Ankang and the surrounding Qinba mountain area of southern Shaanxi Province. Opened in September 2020, it replaced the older Ankang Wulipu Airport and brought regular scheduled flights back to the region.
Located in Wuli Town, Hanbin District, roughly 15 km northwest of central Ankang, the airport is a 4C-class domestic regional airport. Its single passenger terminal covers about 5,500 square meters and sits alongside a 2,600-meter runway capable of handling aircraft such as the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320.
The airport mainly serves domestic routes, connecting Ankang with other Chinese cities and supporting both business and leisure travel in southern Shaanxi.
