About Zangilan International Airport
Zangilan International Airport is an international airport serving the city of Zangilan and Azerbaijan's East Zangezur region. Opened in October 2022, it was the second airport opened in Azerbaijan's liberated territories after Fuzuli International Airport, strengthening air access to the southern part of the country.
Located in Zangilan District, the airport has a 3,000-metre-long and 60-metre-wide runway capable of accommodating all types of aircraft, including heavy cargo aircraft. Its single terminal is built to international standards and can serve around 200 passengers per hour.
The airport lies approximately 8 km from the city of Zangilan and is connected to surrounding districts by road, providing access to towns such as Mincivan, Gubadli and Jabrayil and supporting the East Zangezur economic region's transport network.
With a compact terminal offering a VIP lounge, café, medical point and office rooms, the airport serves domestic and international travel while functioning as a practical gateway for visitors to southern Azerbaijan.
