About Yueyang Sanhe Airport
Yueyang Sanhe Airport is the main airport serving Yueyang, a port city on the Yangtze River in northern Hunan Province. It opened on 26 December 2018 and functions as a regional gateway for the city and the surrounding Dongting Lake area.
Located about 18 km from central Yueyang, the airport sits within the city's economic and technological development zone. It operates a single passenger terminal with a 2,600-metre runway, six aircraft stands and three boarding bridges, and it is also used as an alternate airport for the larger hubs at Wuhan and Changsha.
The airport is connected to Yueyang by a city bus airport line, taxis and road links. From the terminal, travellers can continue to the city centre, Yueyang Tower, Junshan Island and other parts of the region.
