About Yongchuan Da'an General Airport
Yongchuan Da'an General Airport is a compact general aviation airport serving Yongchuan District in western Chongqing. Opened in November 2019, it became the first A1-class general airport in Chongqing to receive an IATA code when it was assigned YGA in June 2020.
Located roughly 8.5 km from central Yongchuan, the airport primarily supports short-haul regional flights, flight training, sightseeing, emergency response and other general aviation activities. Its single runway and small terminal area handle a modest volume of operations, including short-haul routes to Qianjiang and Wulong.
The airport also serves as a flight-training base for the Civil Aviation Flight University of China Mianyang Branch. Ground access is available by taxi and ride-hailing services, including autonomous taxis that connect the terminal with Yongchuan, and a planned suburban rail line is expected to pass through the area.
With basic passenger facilities and a straightforward single-building layout, the airport provides a simple gateway for regional and general aviation travel in the Yongchuan area.
