About Wuhai Airport
Wuhai Airport is the main airport serving Wuhai, a city in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region of northern China. It operates as a domestic regional airport and provides air connections for business and leisure travelers in the area.
Construction of the airport began in 2002 and it opened in December 2003. A newer passenger terminal came into use in 2010, and the airport now serves domestic routes from a single terminal building.
The airport is located in Haibowan District, about 12.5 km north of central Wuhai. Road connections link the airport with the city centre, with taxis, private transfers and rental cars available for onward travel.
With a compact terminal and essential passenger services, the airport provides a convenient gateway for travelers visiting Wuhai and the surrounding region.
