About Wenzhou Longwan International Airport
Wenzhou Longwan International Airport is the main airport serving Wenzhou and the surrounding southern Zhejiang region. Opened in 1990, it began operations as Wenzhou Civil Aviation Station and was later known as Yongqiang Airport before receiving its current name in 2013.
Located in Longwan District, about 22 km from downtown Wenzhou, the airport handles domestic, international and regional flights and also serves nearby cities such as Taizhou, Lishui and Ningde. Terminal 2 opened in 2018 and is used mainly for domestic operations, while Terminal 1 houses the international hall.
The airport is connected to the city by Wenzhou Rail Transit Lines S1 and S2 at Airport Station, as well as airport shuttle buses, city buses, taxis, private transfers and road links, making onward travel to central Wenzhou and surrounding areas relatively straightforward.
