Tozeur–Nefta International Airport is the main air gateway to Tozeur, Nefta and the oasis region of southwestern Tunisia. Opened in 1978 and located about 4 km northwest of central Tozeur, it serves an area known as the gateway to the Sahara and is managed by Tunisia's Office of Civil Aviation and Airports.
The airport has a single passenger terminal and a runway of approximately 3,225 metres. It handles regular Tunisair and Tunisair Express flights as well as seasonal charter traffic, with much of its activity linked to tourism in the Tunisian south during the autumn and winter high season.
