About Toussaint Louverture International Airport
Toussaint Louverture International Airport is the busiest airport in Haiti and the main international gateway to Port-au-Prince and the wider metropolitan area. Opened in 1965 as François Duvalier International Airport, it was later renamed and has served as the country's principal hub for commercial air traffic.
Located in Tabarre, a commune of Port-au-Prince about 6 km from the city centre, the airport handles international and domestic flights. It has two passenger terminals: the main International Terminal and the separate Guy Malary Terminal for domestic services, plus facilities for cargo and general aviation.
The airport provides access to Port-au-Prince by taxi, private transfer and rental car, and is an operating hub for Sunrise Airways, connecting travellers to domestic and regional destinations.
With passenger lounges, shops, dining options and onward travel services, it functions as the primary entry point for visitors arriving in Haiti.
