Tengchong Tuofeng Airport is the main air gateway to Tengchong, a county-level city in western Yunnan Province known for Heshun Ancient Town, volcanic scenery and hot springs. Opened in 2009, the airport serves as a domestic regional feeder airport for the Baoshan area.
Located about 10 kilometres from downtown Tengchong in Qingshui Township, the airport operates a 2,350-metre runway and two passenger terminals, T1 and T2, handling domestic flights to cities such as Kunming, Chengdu, Chongqing, Xi'an and Guangzhou.
Ground transportation connects the airport to the city centre by airport shuttle bus and taxi, with private transfers and rental cars also available for onward travel to Heshun Ancient Town, Rehai hot springs and other nearby attractions.
