Tasiilaq Heliport (AGM)

Tasiilaq Heliport is a small helicopter landing site serving the town of Tasiilaq, the largest settlement on the east coast of Greenland's Ammassalik Island. Commissioned in 1973 and known until 1997 as Ammassalik Heliport, it provides the main air link between Tasiilaq and Kulusuk Airport, where fixed-wing flights arrive from other parts of Greenland.

The heliport has a single terminal building and a landing pad rather than runways, handling Air Greenland helicopter services that shuttle passengers between Kulusuk and Tasiilaq. From here, travelers can continue to hotels, guesthouses and starting points for hikes and boat trips around the Sermilik Fjord area.

Located in the eastern part of Tasiilaq and about 1 km from the town centre, the heliport is within easy reach on foot, by taxi, or by hotel shuttle. Because Tasiilaq has no runway, the short helicopter connection from Kulusuk is an essential part of reaching the town.

Facilities are simple and limited to a waiting area and essential passenger services, so travelers should plan meals, shopping and other needs in Tasiilaq itself. Despite its small size, the heliport serves as a practical gateway for visitors exploring eastern Greenland's remote coastal settlements and fjord landscape.
