Tabora Airport (TBO)

Tabora Airport is the main air gateway serving the city of Tabora and the wider western region of Tanzania. It primarily handles domestic flights, connecting Tabora with other Tanzanian cities and making travel to this part of the country more accessible for residents and visitors.

Located a short distance from Tabora city centre, the airport operates a single passenger terminal alongside a tarmac runway. Its compact layout supports a steady flow of domestic arrivals and departures, with services operated by Tanzanian airlines on routes such as Dar es Salaam.

The airport is reached by road, with taxis and private transfers available for the short journey to central Tabora and surrounding areas. Ground transport is straightforward, allowing passengers to continue to hotels, business locations and nearby destinations.

Although small, the airport provides essential passenger facilities and a functional travel experience for those arriving in or departing from western Tanzania.
