About Silgadi Doti Airport
Silgadi Doti Airport is a small domestic airport serving Dipayal Silgadhi and the wider Doti District in Sudurpashchim Province, Nepal. It provides a local air connection for far-western Nepal, with domestic services operating on a limited schedule. The airport opened on 24 September 1973 and has long functioned as a regional access point. Its 490-metre asphalt runway was upgraded and blacktopped in 2020, and the airport was reinaugurated in October of that year to support small-aircraft operations. Located about 2 km from the main town of Silgadhi, the airport is reached primarily by road. Taxis and vans offer onward connections to Dipayal Silgadhi and surrounding settlements, while passenger facilities remain modest and centered on a compact terminal building. Travellers should confirm flight availability in advance, as scheduled operations can be limited. Despite its small size, the airport remains a useful gateway for the Doti region and nearby hill communities.
