Sambava Airport is the main airport serving Sambava, a coastal city in the Sava region of northeastern Madagascar. It is a public airport managed by ADEMA (Aéroports de Madagascar) and mainly handles domestic flights, with regular connections between Sambava and the capital, Antananarivo.
Located on the eastern edge of the city, the airport has a single bitumen runway of about 1,800 metres and a small passenger terminal. The largest aircraft authorized to operate is the Boeing 737-300, and development projects have been proposed to improve the pavement, enlarge the runway and expand the terminal to strengthen air connectivity in the region.
