Saarloq Heliport (QOQ)

Saarloq Heliport is a small public helicopter landing site serving Saarloq, a settlement in the Kujalleq municipality of southern Greenland. It forms part of Greenland’s network of helicopter links that connect remote communities in South Greenland. Air Greenland district helicopters link Saarloq with Nanortalik, Qaqortoq and Narsarsuaq, providing essential domestic connections for residents and visitors. The service is operated by Air Greenland as part of a government contract. Saarloq lies on a small island off the Labrador Sea coast, about 20 km south of Qaqortoq, and has no road connections. Travel to and from the settlement is therefore by helicopter or by sea, and onward movement within Saarloq is on foot or by prior boat arrangement. Passenger infrastructure at the heliport is limited, so travellers are advised to confirm schedules and practical arrangements with Air Greenland before departure. The heliport remains an important link between Saarloq and the wider Kujalleq region.
