About Robe Airport
Robe Airport is a domestic regional airport serving Bale Robe and the nearby town of Goba in the Oromia Region of southeastern Ethiopia. It is the main air gateway to the Bale highlands, including Bale Mountains National Park and the Sof Omar Cave system.
Located about 5 km east of Bale Robe, the airport has a single runway and a modern passenger terminal that was inaugurated in January 2025 as part of the Wako Gutu Airport development. Road connections link the airport to Goba and the surrounding Bale Zone.
Ethiopian Airlines operates scheduled flights between Addis Ababa and Bale Robe, connecting the area to domestic and international services through Addis Ababa Bole International Airport. Onward travel is available by taxi, private transfer, rental car and group vehicle.
Situated at an elevation of about 2,405 m, the airport is a convenient entry point for visitors travelling to the Bale Mountains and other regional attractions. Its terminal provides essential passenger services and access to local road transport.
