About Rizhao Shanzihe Airport
Rizhao Shanzihe Airport is the main civil airport serving Rizhao, a coastal city in southeastern Shandong Province, China. Opened in December 2015, it handles domestic routes across the country and has terminal areas prepared for international and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan services.
Located in Houcun Town, Donggang District, the airport sits about 19 km from central Rizhao. Its single passenger terminal covers roughly 22,000 square metres and is organized around a compact layout with check-in, security, departure and arrival zones, supported by a 2,600-metre runway.
The airport is connected to Rizhao by airport bus, taxi, private transfers and local bus line C106, which also links to Rizhao West High Speed Railway Station. This makes onward travel to the city center, the coast and other parts of the region relatively straightforward.
As the gateway for Rizhao and the surrounding area, the airport supports both business and leisure travel, with useful passenger services including an information desk, baggage services, temporary identification and parking, plus a city terminal for advance self-service check-in.
