Rhodes International Airport "Diagoras" is the main airport serving the island of Rhodes and the wider Dodecanese region in the southeastern Aegean. Opened in 1977 to replace the older Maritsa airfield, it is located near the village of Paradisi on the island's western coast.
Located around 15 km southwest of Rhodes Town, the airport provides a convenient entry point to the medieval Old Town, the east-coast resort areas and nearby islands. It handles a mix of domestic flights and seasonal international services, including summer charter traffic.
A modernised passenger terminal opened in 2005, and the single-terminal layout keeps check-in, security, baggage reclaim and ground transport within easy reach of arrivals and departures.
