Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport is the main international gateway serving Qingdao and the broader Shandong region. Opened on 12 August 2021, it replaced the former Qingdao Liuting International Airport and consolidated the city's air services into a single modern hub.
Located in Jiaozhou, roughly 39 km from central Qingdao, the airport handles domestic and international flights and serves both leisure and business travellers.
