About Palanga International Airport

Palanga International Airport is the main air gateway to Lithuania's Baltic coast, serving the resort town of Palanga and the nearby port city of Klaipėda. As Lithuania's third-largest airport, it focuses on short- and medium-range routes to European destinations and supports both leisure and regional business travel.

The airport dates back to 1937, when it began operations east of its current site, and was later developed for civilian use. Today, passenger services are handled in two adjacent single-level terminal buildings: the older South Terminal for Schengen flights and the North Terminal, opened in 2007, for non-Schengen flights.

Located about 7 km north of central Palanga and close to the Baltic Sea, the airport sits roughly 30 km from Klaipėda. Bus routes, taxis, private transfers, car rental and road links connect it to Palanga, Klaipėda, Šventoji and other coastal resorts.

With a compact terminal layout, cafés, shops, a lounge, free Wi-Fi and straightforward onward travel options, the airport offers a convenient arrival and departure point for visitors to western Lithuania's coast.
