Noto Satoyama Airport is a domestic airport serving Wajima and the northern Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. Opened on 7 July 2003, it provides a convenient air link between the remote Noto region and Tokyo, with scheduled ANA flights connecting the airport to Haneda.
Located on the Kiharadake plateau about 12 km south-southeast of central Wajima, the airport sits within an area spanning Wajima, Anamizu and Noto towns. It has a single 2,000-metre runway and a four-storey terminal that combines passenger facilities with local government offices, an arrangement that was the first of its kind in Japan.
The airport is connected to Wajima and Kanazawa Station by the Noto Express Bus, with taxis and rental cars also available for onward travel. This makes it a practical gateway for reaching Wajima's morning market, the onsen resorts of the Noto Peninsula, and coastal destinations in the region.
Inside the terminal, travellers will find a restaurant, a shop selling local Noto products, a travel information centre and an observation deck with panoramic views. The facility also functions as a roadside station, serving as a hub for visitors exploring the Oku-Noto area.
