About Nantong Xingdong International Airport
Nantong Xingdong International Airport is the main civil airport serving Nantong, a city in eastern Jiangsu Province near the Yangtze River Delta. Opened in 1993, it was Jiangsu Province's first civil airport to begin operations, and it now functions as an important regional gateway with domestic routes across China and several international connections in East and Southeast Asia.
The airport is located in Xingdong Street, Tongzhou District, about 15 km northeast of central Nantong and roughly 100 km from Shanghai. Its current passenger terminal, Terminal 3, opened in 2019 and brought domestic and international flights together in a single modern building, replacing the older terminal facilities.
Ground access includes city buses, intercity shuttle services to nearby locations such as Suzhou, Rugao, Haimen and Hai'an, taxis, private transfers and road links. This makes the airport a practical entry point for both business and leisure travel in the region.
