Mocopulli Airport is the main airport serving Chiloé Island in Chile's Los Lagos Region. Located in the Mocopulli sector of the Dalcahue commune, it is the principal air gateway for Castro, the provincial capital, and for communities across the island.
The airport opened in 2012 and provides regular domestic connections, primarily to and from Santiago. Its single passenger terminal, with a surface area of around 980 square metres, supports a compact but functional operation alongside an asphalt runway, aircraft stands and a control tower.
Situated roughly 20 km north of Castro and about 6.5 km from Dalcahue, Mocopulli Airport is reached by taxi, private transfer, shuttle, local bus and rental car. Road connections make it relatively straightforward to continue to Castro, Dalcahue, Ancud and other destinations on Chiloé.
As the island's main air access point, the airport plays a central role in connecting Chiloé with the rest of Chile, supporting both residents and visitors travelling to the region's towns, coastal areas and natural attractions.
