Milos Island National Airport is the island's main air gateway, connecting Milos with Athens and the wider Cyclades. Opened on 17 January 1973 and modernised with a new terminal in October 1995, it mainly handles domestic flights on a short runway suited to turboprop aircraft.
Located about 5 km southeast of Adamas, the island's main port, and roughly 4 km from the capital Plaka, the airport is a compact single-terminal facility. Its small size keeps arrival and departure procedures straightforward, with limited daily frequencies, primarily to and from Athens.
