Manshuk Mametova International Airport is the main airport serving Oral and the West Kazakhstan region. Named in honour of the Second World War Hero of the Soviet Union Manshuk Mametova, it is also known as Oral Ak Zhol Airport and sits about 12 km southeast of the city, near the Ural River.
