About Longchuan Guangsong Airport
Longchuan Guangsong Airport is a general aviation airport serving Longchuan County in Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan. Opened on September 28, 2020, it was developed as one of the earliest A1-class runway-type general airports approved and built during Yunnan's 13th Five-Year Plan period, with construction starting in 2018.
The airport is located in Guangsong Village, Jinghan Town, about 15 km southwest of the Longchuan county town and roughly 45 km from Ruili, close to the China–Myanmar border. It supports short-haul transport, sightseeing flights, business aviation, pilot training, emergency rescue and other general aviation activities for the Dehong region.
The airfield has a single 1,500 m by 30 m runway, one connecting taxiway and eight aircraft parking stands, with navigation and lighting systems for a 2B flight area classification at an elevation of about 1,013 m. Its compact terminal handles passenger services for regional general aviation traffic.
Road connections link the airport to Longchuan town, Ruili and nearby areas by taxi, private transfer, chauffeur service and rental car. As a small regional gateway, it provides a practical entry point for visitors travelling to western Yunnan and the border region.
