About Lianyungang Huaguoshan International Airport
Lianyungang Huaguoshan International Airport is the main civil airport serving Lianyungang, a coastal port city in northern Jiangsu Province, and the surrounding region. Opened on 2 December 2021, it replaced the former Lianyungang Baitabu Airport and became the city's primary air gateway.
The airport is located in Xiaoyi Town, Guanyun County, about 21 km north of central Lianyungang, and is named after Mount Huaguo, a well-known scenic area linked to the Monkey King legend. Its single passenger terminal covers about 30,000 square metres and supports a 4D-class runway together with domestic and international flight operations, including routes to Bangkok.
Travelers can continue to the city centre and surrounding areas by airport shuttle bus, public bus, taxi, private transfer, or rental car, with taxis available outside the arrivals level. Four shuttle routes connect the airport with Lianyungang and nearby counties.
With modern check-in facilities, dining, shopping, rest areas, and onward travel options, the airport serves as a practical gateway for business and leisure visitors arriving in northern Jiangsu.
