Khujand International Airport (LBD) is the main airport serving Khujand, Tajikistan's second-largest city, and the wider Sughd region. The IATA code LBD is a legacy of the city's Soviet-era name, Leninabad, while the airport itself lies in the neighbouring town of Buston.
Located about 11 km southeast of central Khujand, the airport connects the Fergana Valley to destinations in Russia and Central Asia, with a domestic link to Dushanbe and limited routes farther afield. It functions as a key gateway for regional travel, trade and labour migration.
The current passenger terminal opened in October 2019, replacing older facilities with a modern but compact single-terminal layout serving both domestic and international flights alongside a single runway.
With no rail or scheduled airport bus link, the city is reached mainly by taxi, ride-hailing, hotel pickup or shared minibuses from the main road, with the journey typically taking 15–25 minutes.
