About Lop Buri Khok Kathiam Airport
Khok Kathiam Airport (KKM, ICAO: VTBL) is a Royal Thai Air Force base located in Khok Kathiam, Mueang Lopburi District, in Thailand's Lopburi Province. Known locally as Lop Buri Airport, it is operated by Wing 2 of the 1st Air Division and is primarily associated with military helicopter and support operations.
The airfield lies about 10 km northeast of Lop Buri city centre and has two runways used for military and general aviation activity. It does not currently handle scheduled commercial passenger flights, so its role is mainly operational rather than as a public travel gateway.
Road access connects the base to Lop Buri city, where hotels, restaurants, banks and other traveller services are available. Transfer options to and from the airfield are typically arranged by private vehicle, taxi or pre-booked ground transportation.
Although passenger facilities at the airfield are limited, the base supports the region through its aviation operations and provides a road connection point for visitors continuing to Lop Buri's historic centre and surrounding areas.
