About Khasab Airport
Khasab Airport is the main air gateway to Khasab and the Musandam Governorate, the Omani exclave at the northern tip of the Musandam Peninsula. It provides an important domestic link between Musandam and the capital, Muscat, and supports both civil and military aviation.
The airport has a single small passenger terminal and a roughly 2,778-metre asphalt runway. Oman Air established the Muscat–Khasab route in 1993, and scheduled flights continue to connect the exclave with the rest of Oman.
Located south of Khasab city, about two kilometres from the town centre, the airport is a short drive from Khasab's hotels, port and the fjords of Khor Ash Sham. Road access is mainly by taxi, private transfer or rental car, since scheduled flight operations are limited.
Travellers should expect a compact, no-frills airport experience. Plans for a new Musandam Airport aim to expand capacity in the future, but for now Khasab Airport remains the practical entry point for the peninsula.
