Adam Airport (AOM)

Adam Airport is a small air base and proposed domestic airport located in the wilayat of Adam in Oman's Ad Dakhiliyah Governorate. It serves the interior region of the country and is positioned as a future gateway for domestic air travel connecting this part of Oman.

The airport lies about 18 kilometres northwest of the town of Adam, near the main road network that links the interior with Muscat and other regional centres. Nizwa, the principal city of Ad Dakhiliyah, is roughly 76 kilometres to the north, while the capital Muscat is approximately 225 kilometres away.

The facility has a single asphalt runway of about 4,000 metres, along with apron and taxiway infrastructure supporting military and planned civil aviation use. Passenger infrastructure is limited, and travellers should check the status of services before planning a journey through the airport.

Ground access from Adam Airport relies mainly on private vehicles, taxis and pre-arranged transfers, as scheduled public transport options are limited in this part of Oman. For most travellers, combining the airport with a private transfer or chauffeur service is the most practical way to reach Adam, Nizwa or Muscat.
