Kastellorizo Airport (KZS)

Kastellorizo Airport is a small domestic airport serving the Greek island of Kastellorizo, part of the Dodecanese island group in the eastern Mediterranean. The airport began operations in 1986 as a domestic facility and primarily links the island with Rhodes through scheduled flights.

Located about 3 km from Megisti, the island's main town and harbour, the airport has a compact passenger terminal of around 150 square metres and a single asphalt runway of approximately 800 metres. Because of the short runway, it mainly handles smaller turboprop aircraft.

Passengers can reach Megisti by taxi, a local minibus or, for those travelling light, on foot, as the route follows a short coastal road. Onward connections from the town's harbour include ferries and boat services to nearby islands and the Turkish coast.

Although passenger facilities at the airport are limited to basic waiting areas and restrooms, its small scale keeps the travel process straightforward and quiet, with most shops, restaurants and services located in Megisti itself.
