Jomsom Airport is a domestic STOL (short take-off and landing) airport serving the town of Jomsom in the Mustang District of Gandaki Province, Nepal. Set on the bank of the Kali Gandaki River at an elevation of about 2,736 metres, it functions as the main air gateway to the Mustang region and the surrounding Himalayan trekking areas.
The airport is located roughly 1 km from Jomsom bazaar and is primarily used for scheduled flights to and from Pokhara, operated by carriers such as Tara Air, Summit Air and Sita Air. Because flights are weather-dependent and normally operate in the early morning, travelers often use the airport as the start or end point of treks on the Annapurna Circuit and journeys into Upper Mustang.
The airport has a single compact passenger terminal with basic check-in, security, baggage claim and waiting facilities. The airfield is classified as a STOL airport, with a short runway suited to small aircraft such as the Twin Otter and Dornier 228.
