About Jiujiang Lushan Airport
Jiujiang Lushan Airport is a domestic civil-military airport serving Jiujiang, a city in Jiangxi Province, and the nearby Mount Lu (Lushan) scenic area. The airport suspended operations in 2015 and reopened on 31 October 2021 following a renovation and upgrade programme.
Located in Minshan Township, Chaisang District, the airport has a single two-storey passenger terminal of about 11,815 square meters and a 2,800-meter runway, and can handle Boeing 737, Airbus A320 and similar narrow-body aircraft. Domestic routes connect Jiujiang with cities including Xi'an, Shenzhen, Beijing, Haikou and Kunming.
The airport lies about 31 kilometers from central Jiujiang and roughly 8.5 kilometers from the west gate of Lushan Scenic Area. Shuttle buses from Jiujiang Long-Distance Bus Station are coordinated with flight schedules, and taxis, private transfers and rental cars provide additional onward travel options.
The compact terminal keeps check-in, security and boarding close together for easy navigation. Passenger facilities include a lounge, mother-and-baby room, first aid room, drinking water and shops, and free parking is available at the airport.
