Jamnagar Airport (JGA)

Jamnagar Airport is a domestic airport and Indian Air Force base serving the city of Jamnagar in Gujarat. Officially known as Civil Enclave Jamnagar and sometimes called Govardhanpur Airport, it operates as a joint civil-military facility within a defence airfield. The current civil passenger terminal was inaugurated in 2006 and has the capacity to handle around 150 passengers at a time.

The airport connects Jamnagar with major Indian cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad. It serves one of India's most important industrial centres, with Jamnagar home to a major petrochemical and refinery complex, while also providing access to religious and nature destinations such as Dwarka and the Marine National Park along the Gulf of Kutch.

Located approximately 8 km from central Jamnagar, the airport is reached mainly by taxi, auto-rickshaw, app-based cab, local bus or private vehicle. The short journey makes the airport a practical entry point for business and leisure travellers continuing to the city centre and surrounding Saurashtra region.

Passenger facilities are compact but functional, including a lounge, snack bar, drinking water stations, free Wi-Fi, wheelchair assistance, a child care room, a medical inspection room and managed parking. The airport's role within an active air force station means security is strict, and travellers should expect formal screening and movement controls around the civil enclave.
