Ittoqqortoormiit Heliport is a small helicopter landing site serving Ittoqqortoormiit, a remote settlement on Greenland's east coast in Sermersooq municipality. It is the settlement's primary year-round air connection to Nerlerit Inaat Airport, the nearest fixed-wing airport, which lies about 38 km away.
Because Ittoqqortoormiit has no fixed-wing runway, scheduled helicopter shuttle flights carry passengers between the heliport and Nerlerit Inaat. These flights are timed to connect with arriving and departing aircraft, and several shuttle rotations may be needed for a single flight because of helicopter capacity. The helicopter journey takes around 15 minutes.
The heliport is located within the village on its northwestern side, making it easy to continue to guesthouses, the harbor and other local points on foot or by local transport. For travel beyond the settlement, visitors typically connect through Nerlerit Inaat or use seasonal boats, snowmobiles and dog sleds.
