Ikamiut Heliport is a small helistop serving Ikamiut, a settlement of fewer than 100 residents on an island in western Greenland’s Qeqertalik municipality. It lies in the southern part of the village and supports Air Greenland settlement flights operated under a government contract.
The heliport is located on an island in the Aasiaat Archipelago at the southern edge of Disko Bay, roughly 36 km from Qasigiannguit and 40 km from Aasiaat. Seasonal helicopter services link Ikamiut with Akunnaaq and Qasigiannguit, while in summer and autumn much of the local travel in Disko Bay is handled by sea.
Ikamiut is classified as a helistop rather than a full heliport because it has no passenger terminal building. A single gravel landing area is used for helicopter operations, and check-in and handling are kept simple for short settlement flights.
