About Huangshan Tunxi International Airport
Huangshan Tunxi International Airport serves Huangshan City and the surrounding Anhui region. First built in 1958 and opened to traffic in 1959, the airport was expanded in 2008 and gained international airport status in 2014.
Located in Tunxi District, about 5.5 km from downtown Huangshan, the airport provides domestic connections to cities such as Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Hefei, and Chongqing, as well as international services including flights to Seoul.
The airport has a single terminal building, T1, covering about 14,000 square meters and handling both domestic and international operations. A 2,600-meter runway and eight aircraft parking stands support regular passenger services.
Transport links include city buses and taxis outside the terminal, with a road journey of roughly 15 minutes to the city center. The airport is also about 70 km from the Yellow Mountain scenic area, making it a practical starting point for onward travel in the region.
