About Guilin Liangjiang International Airport
Guilin Liangjiang International Airport is the only airport serving Guilin, a popular gateway to the Li River and the karst landscapes of Guangxi in southern China. It is located in Liangjiang Town, Lingui District, about 28 km southwest of central Guilin.
Opened in 1996, the airport has expanded with a modern Terminal 2 that began operating in September 2018 and now handles domestic and international flights, while Terminal 1 is temporarily suspended. The airport mainly serves domestic routes to cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xi'an, and Chengdu, along with a smaller number of international connections.
Passengers are processed through a three-level terminal with departures on the third floor and arrivals on the first floor. Check-in, security, and passenger facilities are concentrated in Terminal 2, which supports the airport's role in connecting Guilin to major destinations across China and parts of Asia.
The airport is reached by airport shuttle buses, taxis, private transfers, and road links from downtown Guilin, and it also provides bus connections to nearby destinations including Yangshuo, Longsheng, and Liuzhou.
