Fuerteventura Airport is the main international airport serving Fuerteventura, the second-largest of the Canary Islands. Opened in 1969, it provides domestic, inter-island and international connections and handles much of the island's holiday and business traffic.
Located around 5 km south of Puerto del Rosario, the island's capital, the airport has a single passenger terminal arranged over two levels, with check-in, arrivals and baggage reclaim on the ground floor and the security checkpoint, departures lounge and boarding gates above.
