Erandique Airport (EDQ)

Erandique Airport is a small public airstrip serving Erandique and the wider Lempira Department in western Honduras. It mainly supports general aviation and small aircraft operations, providing a local air link for the town and surrounding highland communities.

The airstrip is located about 3 km east of Erandique town, close to the V-787 road. It has a single grass runway aligned 15/33 and sits at an elevation of approximately 1,280 m, with basic terminal and apron facilities for arriving and departing passengers.

From the airport, travellers can reach the Erandique town centre by taxi, private transfer or pre-arranged vehicle, and continue by road to other communities in Lempira Department and larger cities in western Honduras. Public transport is limited in the immediate area, so advance arrangements are recommended.

Passenger services on site are limited, so most shopping, dining and accommodation options are found in Erandique town. For pilots and local travellers, the airport offers a convenient access point in a mountainous part of western Honduras.
